YacaToy started as a family sewing space that connects 4 generations of women and their love for textile, detail, tradition and innovation.

With every stitch we focus on esthetic details and durable functionality, the two parameters of our quality assurance, introduced by our grand-grand-grandmother Yulliana. With every inch of fabric, we stitch in a piece of our love for sewing, family and comfort we inherited from her.

Yulliana is our idol and inspiration. Born in 1898 in a small village in South-Eastern Europe, she became one of the first women worldwide earning the professional title of a tailor. At that time, tailoring was a man's job, while women were usually only allowed to support them as seamstresses.

Yulliana was never discouraged by stereotypes and never gave in to senseless rules. She knew that perfection can get you far, and we follow her standards as our ultimate principle.

LINA

Lina used to dislike evenings. The time of the day when the lights go out, parents leave the room to do mysterious things while monsters hide under the bed and are up to no good. It took a little bit of time and help of the Yacatoy aromatic sleeping doll unil Lina started liking evenings. When you're tucked into a comfortable bed with the cutest little toy that smells like a dream on its own, good night is no longer just a phrase. Her most disliked part of the day is brushing teeth in the morning. Yulliana's Sewing Wonderland is already working on a solution for that.

LUKE and MARCO

Marco's favorite childhood story was "The cat who hid the slippers", a Slovenian tale he learned from his mother. He loved holding the tiny kitty toy, covered by the warmth of the adhering story playing mat, falling asleep listening to his mother's voice telling a tale about the kids looking for slippers on a cold morning over and over again. He has outgrown the "Muca Copatarica" story since. However, he still loves sneaking into his little brother Luke's room, hiding the slippers from the playing mat that now belongs to the younger boy. Yacatoy playing mat became an irreplecable item of the boys' daily interaction.

LUCY

Lucy loves dolls more than her kindergarten friends, and she is not afraid to admit it. Dolls are her best friends and she wants to treat them well - just the way they treat her. She takes care of them, dresses them up, makes their hair and assures they are always in their best condition. Since Lucy's family travels often, she cannot bring the big doll house where all her dolls sleep. However, she is able to pack the Yacatoy pop-up doll house, that is easy to carry and assembe - even in the car or on an airplane.
